Dr. Jamal Harrison Bryant
Rev. Dr. Jamal Harrison Bryant is the Senior Pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Stonecrest, Georgia, and one of the most recognized prophetic voices in the Black Church today. A nationally respected preacher, pastor, activist, and organizer, Dr. Bryant has built a ministry at the intersection of faith, justice, culture, economics, and community transformation. He is the former founding pastor of Empowerment Temple AME Church in Baltimore and previously served as National Youth and College Director of the NAACP. A graduate of Morehouse College, with theological training from Duke University, Oxford University, and The Graduate Theological Foundation, Dr. Bryant continues to challenge the Church to speak boldly and lead courageously. He is also a husband, father of four, and a longtime friend of Dr. Mapson.
